We re-checked every state fee we publish

Every figure behind the state guides was verified against the filing office that charges it. Six were wrong when we started. They are not wrong now.

51
jurisdictions checked against their own offices

The eight fee tables behind our state guides cover formation, annual reports, amendments, DBAs, good standing certificates, dissolution, agent changes, and sales tax registration, across fifty states and the District of Columbia.

Most published sources for these numbers copy each other. We went to the filing offices instead. Six figures we had inherited turned out to be wrong, and a handful of states charge differently depending on how you file or what you are amending, which a single number cannot express and our tables now do.

This is the last date every table was checked. When one changes, the state's page changes with it, and the change turns up here.
