Tell us your state and schedule

powered by Once a state registers you for sales tax, it expects a return every month, quarter or year, even when you sold nothing. We prepare and file each one for you. Your company needs to be registered first, with us or on your own.

In short
A sales tax return is the periodic report a registered seller files with a state, showing what it sold and the sales tax it collected, and sending that tax in. The state sets the schedule, monthly, quarterly or yearly, and expects a return every period, including periods with no sales.
A missing return counts as a late one. States charge a penalty for each late return, and a run of missed zero returns can lead a state to close the account or estimate tax you never owed.
The tax you collect is the state's money held in trust. Sending it late adds interest on top of the penalty, and owners can be held personally responsible for trust taxes that were collected and not paid.
The state decides how often you file when it registers you, mostly by how much tax you are expected to collect. Larger sellers file monthly, smaller ones quarterly, twice a year or once a year.
Most states want the return by the 20th of the month after the period closes, and some use a different day. We file on the state's own calendar, not a generic one.
A period with no sales still needs a return in most states. Skipping it is the most common way a new seller ends up with a late penalty, because the state counts a missing return as a late one.
You can have us file a single return, or set it up once and have every return handled as it comes due.
Every return, automatically: you pay for the next return today, and each one after it is $149, charged when it comes due. Nothing to remember and no return missed.
Just the next return: one return, $149, and you come back when you want the next one.

Before each return is due, we ask for your sales for the period. No sales is an answer too: we file the zero return.
We file the return in the state's system and save the confirmation to your portal.
Yes. Send us your sales tax account number and the state you registered in, and we file from there. The registration does not have to have been done by us.
The registration has to come first, because a return is filed under the account number the state issues. Register with us or on your own, then add the filing. If you register with us, you can order both together.
No state charges a fee to file a sales tax return. What you pay the state is the sales tax you collected from customers, which comes from your account, not ours.
In most states, yes. A period with no sales still needs a zero return, and a missing one is treated as late. We file it for you.
The state tells you when it registers you, usually in the registration letter or in your account on its website. If you are not sure, tell us your account number and we will check.
$149 per return, whichever schedule you are on, with no state fee on top. On the automatic option, each return is charged when it comes due.
